About Vaultline

Vaultline is an independent, UK-focused payments desk. We examine how e-wallets such as ecoPayz, now Payz, and their alternatives behave inside licensed online casino cashiers, and we explain where British rules change what a payment method can actually do. We are a payments analysis site, not a casino and not an advertiser of one.

What we cover

Our work sits at the point where a payment method meets a regulated gambling market. That means deposits and withdrawals, fees and currency conversion, account verification, safeguarding of customer funds, and the British rules that wrap around all of it, including the credit-card ban and the online-slot stake limits. We write for the UK player who wants to understand the cashier before using it.

Who writes Vaultline

Vaultline content is produced by our editorial team rather than by a single named personality. The desk works to a shared methodology and a fixed editorial standard, so the analysis is consistent regardless of who drafts a given page. Where a page carries an author label such as “iGaming Payments Analyst”, it describes the editorial role and standard applied, not a personal byline.

How we research

Every factual claim starts from a primary source wherever one exists. For the UK market that means the original publications of the bodies that actually set or measure the rules.

  • The UK Gambling Commission, for market data, licensing conditions and enforcement actions.
  • The Financial Conduct Authority, for the authorisation and safeguarding status of e-money firms.
  • The Department for Culture, Media and Sport and parliamentary records, for the stake limits and the statutory levy.
  • Gamstop, for self-exclusion data and how the national scheme works.
  • The payment operators’ own published terms, for fees, tiers and currency support.

How we verify

We prefer the most recent primary figure to any second-hand summary, and we check a claim against the source that is closest to it. Where sources disagree, we say so rather than picking the tidier number. Regulatory facts, such as a licence number or the date a rule took effect, are checked against the official register or the legislation itself. Figures and rules change, so we revisit pages and update them when the underlying source moves.

Our independence

We are editorially independent. We do not rank or recommend individual operators, and our analysis is not shaped by commercial relationships. Where any page contains a link that could earn the site a commission, we disclose that on our Legal Information page. The judgement in our articles is our own.

A word on responsible gambling

Everything we publish assumes an 18-plus reader and treats gambling as an activity that carries real financial risk. We point readers to independent support, including GamCare and the National Gambling Helpline, throughout the site rather than as an afterthought.
